In Their Path! Book:

The IN THEIR PATH! walk was about praising American slave ancestors. It was all about families, brave families.

The IN THEIR PATH! book will continue praise of all those unnamed unknown heroic ancestors and confirm that I found the Underground Railroad spirit of trust, grace kindness and generosity still alive and thriving. The book will tell the insights culled from my personal journey. It will highlight the Underground Railroad aspect of Ohios history.

This book will offer some specific suggestions for family vacationing in wonderful historic Ohio towns. It will be a travel guide for a familys short or long freedom walk (or cycle) along the safe new bike trails that are developing across the whole state.

Childrens wisdom, curiosity, and joy revealed in over 100 classroom visits and workshops in Cleveland schools and in schools throughout Ohio.
The thousands of people I have been invited to tell the IN THEIR PATH! story. Audiences sharing comments, asking question sharing their stories in churches, community centers, museums, libraries and lovingly restored historical homes.

Audience for the book:
The idea, the walk, the praise, the whole educational project, has always been about families, ordinary families (slave families, conductor families) called to extraordinary heroics. I see the audience for the book as FAMILIES. The book will be written for adults, but accessible to the curious elementary school aged child. A thematic approach Study guide has been designed around IN THEIR PATH! It is currently available for purchase by schools churches and others.
